Vantage：有利、有利な立場。

　　You had me at vantage (私より有利). Vantage point (見晴らしのきく地点).

Vestige：遺物。

　　Scientists say the appendix is a vestige of the days when humans used to eat more roughage (栄養価の少ないかさの多い食物).

Vindicate：汚名をはらす；正当化する；擁護する；要求する。

　　The verdict of innocence vindicated me. Subsequent events vindicated my policy. We must vindicate our liberty. No one can vindicate to himself the right to take another's life.
